Opt for Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) Therapy to Treat Chronic Pain

A 31-year-old Caucasian male, a baseball player, was extremely active athletically and in great physical shape until he was struck with osteoarthritis of the right shoulder and left knee. While the young sportsman wanted to build his career in baseball, the increasing pain levels made it difficult for him to perform well. After having tried varied treatments, with no effective results, the young man opted for Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) treatment which not only reduced his painful symptoms but also increased his range of motion and mobility.

SVF uses autologous stem cells derived from a patient’s own body, including adipose (fat) cells obtained through liposuction.  When injected back into the body, these stem cells stimulate the immune system, have anti-inflammatory properties and promote the development of new blood vessels, which help heal injured tissues.

“When the patient visited us, he was in terrible pain, but was determined to treat his condition through SVF. SVF therapy is the introduction of new adult stem cells into damaged tissue in order to treat disease or injury. The ability of stem cells to self-renew and give rise to different cells, makes it an ideal treatment for patients who do not respond to traditional methods of treatments,” said Dr Steven Victor - General Practitioner Regenerative Medicine, who is offering special consultation and treatment to patients in the UAE from September 16th to 22nd at Emirates Hospital, Jumeirah - Dubai.

Dr Steven Victor is a leader in Regenerative Medicine specialising in Regenerative Cosmetic Dermatology. His experience in researching, developing and providing treatment spans over thirty years, which has led to the development of ground-breaking anti-aging and cellular therapy technologies. Most recently and most notably, Dr Victor has developed a state-of-the-art laboratory and a patented, proprietary technology for the efficient and reproducible separation of stromal vascular fraction cells containing Mesenchymal Stem Cells, from the vasculature (blood vessels) in adipose (fat) tissue.

“At Emirates Hospital, we have always been committed to offer our patients with quick and effective treatment options that can have functional benefits for them. SVF has no side effects, is minimally invasive and can be treated using local anaesthesia. There has been an outstanding success rate for this therapy which makes it a popular form of therapy,” said Dr Yehia  El Gabbani, Director of Emirates Hospital, Jumeirah - Dubai.

“Dr Steven is a renowned specialist in regenerative medicine and will offer our patients in the UAE with patented Stem Cell Therapy, in alignment with the same safety standards and quality of care as practiced in his clinic in New York. The last time he was here, he offered one-on-one consultations and treated several patients, who have not only witnessed major improvements, but have also optimised their wellness levels. We are confident that Dr Steven’s visit this September will be equally beneficial,” added Dr Yehia.

SVF therapy is safe, cost effective and clinically effective, and can lead to an improved quality of life. SVF therapy at Emirates Hospital, Jumeirah - Dubai has been used to treat several conditions to help patients experience quick improvements.
