The ongoing World Circus at north Obhur has brought smiles on the faces of orphans, with its show of acrobats featuring 20 performers and clowns.
The orphans of Al-Rawdah district charitable organization said they found the circus entertaining and enjoyable, especially with acts performed by international artists from Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
Amal Abadi, director of the charity, said that it was a great moment to see the orphans mingling with normal children. Happiness was writ large on the faces of the unfortunate children.
She pointed out that the visit became possible due to the invitation extended by Waleed Issam Alfi, head of the organizing committee of the circus. “The circus provided maximum joy to the orphans and also contributed toward inculcating social responsibility and solidarity community members,” she added.
She thanked the organizers and those in charge of the event for staging the circus.
Alfi said it was an honor for them to give an opportunity to orphan children to experience some of the most daring acrobatics and gymnastics as also the ring of death, balancing acts and the clown show. All children had great fun.
