OSN CEO, Martin Stewart, recognised as ‘Broadcast Executive of the Year’

Martin Stewart, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OSN, the region’s leading entertainment network, has been recognised as ‘Broadcast Executive of the Year’ at the Digital Studio Awards 2018.

 

The award cements his position as one of the Middle East and North African (MENA) region’s foremost broadcast industry leaders.  

 

The Digital Studio Awards 2018 acknowledge and reward excellence in the broadcast and production industry, and is attended by the region’s TV and film movers and shakers, including producers, CEOs and dignitaries.

 

Martin Stewart, CEO of OSN, said: “It is an honour to be recognised as the ‘Broadcast Executive of the Year’ and receive such a remarkable distinction from the region’s industry leaders. This award is a true testament to the talent, commitment and passion of the team at OSN, whose collective efforts have enabled us to consistently transform the region’s broadcast landscape and continuously enhance the customer experience across MENA.”

 

The award highlights OSN leadership’s and product innovation to enhance customer experience through various key initiatives, including the launch of WAVO, OSN’s online and mobile app entertainment platform that combines a unique blend of live and catch-up TV.

 

The launch of ASLI, the region’s first licensing ecosystem for content creators to produce and broadcast their original work, housed on WAVO and free for all to enjoy; and most recently the partnership with Netflix that marks a bold first step for industry collaboration and integration.

 

This year’s Digital Studio Awards 2018 shortlist comprised 16 categories that represented the broadcast industry’s finest in content production, projects, installations and innovations from out of more than a hundred nominations.
