Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah, advisor of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and chairman of the Central Haj Committee, greeted the Haj pilgrims on their successful completion of standing at Arafat, the most important ritual of Haj. Speaking to reporters in Arafat on Wednesday, he also expressed unhappiness over the ferocious campaign being unleashed against Saudi Arabia despite its best efforts to serve the pilgrims.
Prince Khaled said: “Our work, productivity and success are the best reply to the campaign targeting the Kingdom. Whenever we score more successes, the campaign becomes more ferocious, and this is aimed at belittling the determination and capabilities of Saudis to achieve more progress and prosperity,” he said, while emphasizing that nothing is impossible if there is hard work to achieve excellence.
“Despite the relentless efforts being made by the Kingdom to serve the Guests of God, the Kingdom is facing vicious campaign to belittle these efforts. There are also attempts to damage the image of the Kingdom,” he said, while urging the media not to be deceived by this malicious campaign against Islam and Muslims.
He said that the visit of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to the scene of crane crash at the Grand Mosque as well as to the injured pilgrims in the hospital was heartening experience for the injured victims. While highlighting the King’s extra keenness in the affairs of the pilgrims, the emir said that the announcement of compensation for the injured and to the kin of those dead in the tragedy is the best example for this.
Prince Khaled said that the Kingdom’s campaign aimed at discouraging people from performing Haj without a permit has yielded good results.
