Outstanding Performances in U16 & U14 Categories in 3rd Week of UAE FA Academy League

UAE, Abu Dhabi played host to the top matches of the week in the U18 Category ZSC Academy hosted Al Jazira Club in a heated match.  With both teams needing the win to move up on the league table, everything was to play for. Al Jazira created opportunity after opportunity, but weren’t able to finish any of their advances for the majority of the first half. In the 26th minute, Slimane Ahmed found an opening in the defense of ZSC Academy and with a quick burst of pace, made full use of it to open up the scoring with a phenomenal strike from just outside the box.  From there onwards it was a defensive game as Al Jazira pulled back to protect their lead, and intercept all attempts made by ZSC Academy to take the win 1-0.

 

In the U16 Category, ZSC Academy hosted du LaLiga HPC in a rapid match that saw the ball repeatedly played from one end of the pitch to the other by both teams in fast-paced offensives. The first goal came from a mistake from the ZSC Academy goalkeeper that allowed Hassan Ali of the du LaLiga HPC to effortlessly chip the ball clean over him into the back of the net from 35 meters out in the 23rd minute. Then, team captain Adham Bayoumi’s powerful shot taken without hesitation brought the score to 2-0 for du LaLiga HPC going into half-time.

 

Moving into the second half, ZSC Academy came back strong and put all efforts on opening up the HPC defense, leaving their own defense open allowing the du LaLiga HPC to find the back of the net 2 twice more before the final whistle to take the match 4-0.

 

Over in Dubai it was City FC’s superior play that saw their U18, U16 and U14 breezing past their opponents in all 3 matches, with young Mauro Maldonado in the U14 team impressing onlookers with his fantastic technical and play making abilities.  In the U18 category City FC delivered a flawless performance and ability to convert corners into goals.   While in the U16 category City FC took the lead from kick off with Mohammad Ghazal finding the back of the net 21 minutes into the game and took the win 4-1.

 

While the young boys from LaLiga Academy’s U14 team took the win from Asateer 4-0 playing an attaching game in the first half to secure the 4 goals before the half-time whistle and pulling back in the second half to hold their lead.
