A Forum organized by the National Program to Support the Management of Projects in Public Entities (Mashroat) aimed at developing the operation and maintenance sector, is taking place in Riyadh, 1-5 March.
The Localization of Operations and Maintenance Contracts in Public Entities Forum has attracted over 500 participants. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of localizing the sector in the Kingdom, as well as highlighting the need to provide attractive job opportunities for qualified Saudis, both male and female and the essential role the operations and maintenance sector can play in enhancing national economic development.
The event will also host discussion around the localization guidelines approved by the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and will provide a Contractor Service Center to provide answers to related questions, resolve challenges and clarify regulations and procedures.
The third day of the Forum focused on how the operation and maintenance sector can help realize the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by increasing the number of Saudis employed in the workforce.
The Forum is organized by Mashroat, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the Saudi Contractors Authority. It aims to build expertise in the operation and maintenance sector, highlight investment opportunities and promote the skills available in the local workforce.
