The Saudi Export Development Authority (SEDA) revealed that the number of companies that joined the “Made in Saudi” program has reached more than 900, with over 2,000 registered products so far, since its launching in March this year.
There are 16 diverse sectors that give priority for the “Made in Saudi” program, such as chemicals, polymers, building materials, electronics and packaging, the authority said while noting that more sectors will be joined soon.
The program, which was launched under the auspices of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on March 28, aims to support national products and services at the local and global levels.
The program as well as increases domestic consumption and market share of local goods and services, apart from enhancing Saudi non-oil exports in priority export markets, and contributing to boost the attractiveness of the Saudi industrial sector for local and foreign investment.
The “Made in Saudi” program will bring significant opportunities for businesses to expand their reach and promote their products domestically and globally.
