Celebrate generosity this Ramadan as Twitter announces its partnership with several leading brands to create a special experience for Twitter users in the UAE and across the MENA region.
With over 1.6 billion Muslims around the world observing the holy month of Ramadan this year, the aim of this pioneering initiative is for brands to support the entire community to connect for a charitable cause during this spiritual time using the single hashtag معاً_أكرم# which translates to : #MoreGenerousTogether
The initiative will be active for six consecutive days starting from 28th June - 3rd July 2015. Brands that are taking part include: NAMSHI (@namshidotcom), ALJ Finance (@aljfinance), Alomar (@Alomar_Furnitur), Arabian Oud (@ArabianOud), Disabled Children Association (@DCA_KSA), and Al Mosafer Travel (@almosafertravel).
In 2013, people from across the globe Tweeted over 74.2 million times about Ramadan, and in 2014, this number increased to more than 215 million Tweets worldwide.

During the second week of Ramadan, the Promoted Trend will use the same hashtag every day, with a different brand promoting it each day, encouraging people to partake in an active conversation to spread their generosity during the entire month. The brand of the day will have a series of Tweets attached to the trend, which offer users great ways to give back during Ramadan.
