Ras Al Khaimah Plays Host YouTube, Oracle and Atlas Television for Video Marketing Seminar

Representatives from YouTube, Oracle Marketing Cloud and Atlas Television were among the speakers contributing to an innovative marketing seminar hosted in Ras Al Khaimah on December 7th 2016.

 

The seminar, entitled “The Evolving Role of Video in Today’s Marketing Mix”, was conceived by Ras Al Khaimah-based marketing consultancy Big Wheel Marketing and focused on the development of video as a medium for marketing and promotion from the best-practice perspectives of cloud technology, online distribution and cutting-edge creativity. The choice of Ras Al Khaimah as a venue was influenced by the number organizations and companies in the Northern Emirates – and Ras Al Khaimah in particular – with a keen interest in the latest developments in video marketing technology, and how they can be integrated into day-to-day marketing operations.

 

Speaking at the event, Big Wheel Marketing Founder Steven Rice commented “The evolution of technology supporting video has been incredibly rapid in recent years – nowadays everyone has a video camera on their smartphone, sites such as YouTube and the various social media platforms available mean that videos can easily be distributed to large audiences in real-time, and cloud technology can enable extremely precise online targeting of individuals based on their internet behavior. These developments offer huge opportunities for today’s marketers, and the main purpose of today’s seminar was present key insights into the scope and depth of what can be done with video today, whilst also providing guidance and advice on avoiding the potential pitfalls in utilizing the powerful tools and technology which are now available. Ultimately our aim is to help marketers produce quality video content which is optimally distributed for the maximum benefit of the company or organization they represent.”

 

Representing their respective companies, Kunal Badiani of Oracle Marketing Cloud spoke about how cloud technology today can interface with thousands of online platforms whilst simultaneously targeting special interest groups digitally, Adam Kwasniewski of Google presented a series of YouTube video uploads which demonstrated the wide range of different approaches to video creation which can result in maximum viewing exposure, and Cal Barton of Atlas Television presented insights on how to manage the many practical challenges which remain with video production today despite the huge leaps in recent video technology.

 

The seminar was attended by representatives of over 40 organizations from the Northern Emirates spanning Government and the private sector, including the Electronic Government Authority, RAK Department of Economic Development, RAK Free Trade Zone, RAK Ports, Waldorf Astoria and Union Investments.
