Saudi International Motor Show (SIMS), held over five consecutive days at Jeddah Center for Forums and Events, saw remarkable visitor turnout rates as more than 140,000 car enthusiasts from citizens and residents flocked to the fairground to watch the latest car models put on display by the world’s major brands.

The broad range of exhibitors represented the different aspects of the car manufacturing, sales and services industries, highlighted by the participation of Toyota-Abdul Latif Jameel, Nissan Middle East, Kia-Aljabr, Aljomaih Automotive Company, FAW Car Company, BYD, Hyundai, Changan and Geely. Engine oils and lubricants companies also participated with Shell, TOTAL and Eni, SIMS Diamond Sponsor, making an impressive presence.

Riyad Bank, SIMS Main Sponsor, welcomed visitors to its pavilion and explained its banking services and financial facilities that could be of interest to SIMS visitors.

Excitement was high outdoors as it was indoors with Nissan’s live drift racing shows igniting the enthusiasm of the youth who heavily attended the event. Kia-Aljabr also contributed to the festive atmosphere after providing visitors with the opportunity to test drive some of its models, an experience that has always been a favorite among SIMS fans, marked by the active participation of youth and fan clubs with special passion for modified cars and four-wheel driving as several companies assigned ample outdoor spaces to unveil their latest innovations in this regard. A crowd magnet was the Jeep pavilion that attracted a large number of visitors who took pictures and listened to car experts describing the model’s advanced features. Some of the companies that contributed to stepping up the competition were Platinum and Road Ruthless.

For its part, Toyota- Abdul Latif Jameel used advanced technology to attract customers to its spacious, stylish pavilion with the help of the company’s latest recruits: a robot that interacted with visitors and answered their questions. Shell and several other companies welcomed visitors with a SIMS-dedicated selection of games, competitions and awards.

Expressing their determination to participate in the Saudi International Motor Show next year, pavilion directors commended the efforts put into organizing the show and the outstanding turnout. Furthermore, visitors unanimously agreed on the show’s success and considered SIMS the go-to destination to learn about the latest developments and trends in the automobile world. They welcomed all exhibitors and expressed their wish of seeing even more companies confirming their participation next year.

Social media was effectively present and enriched the show with impressive reporting livestreamed or uploaded on Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram as events were broadcasted in real time, boosting the dynamic interaction of the audiences.

Exhibitors expressed their wish to participate in upcoming events organized by Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE), driven by ACE’s ability to facilitate participation procedures, providing the adequate space to showcase their vehicles and offering all possible help to launch their related events and activities easily and according to the highest levels of flexibility.

For over 38 years, ACE has proved its merit, ability and undisputed status as the incubator of the Saudi International Motor Show whose fame now resonates beyond the Kingdom reaching every corner of the Arab World.
