RED SEA FILM FOUNDATION OPENS ACCREDITATION FOR 2023 FILM FESTIVAL AND SOUK

The Third Edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival has opened its early bird accreditation. Until September 18, 2023, filmmakers and professionals can purchase accreditation at half price, while students and media can register for free.

Accreditation provides industry personnel with various degrees of access to festival events and facilities, depending on the type of accreditation. Industry personnel also have the option to appear in the online guide, which provides excellent exposure and networking opportunities. Once registered, the accreditation will be provided in the form of a physical badge to be given to attendees when they arrive to the festival.

Accredited filmmakers will have access to four film screenings per day with 48-hour priority access for ticket bookings. They will also have full access to the Red Sea 360 panels, talks and workshops, the exhibitor hall and the talent days. Press and media professionals will have access to all the same benefits as filmmakers, plus certain market screenings. Students are entitled to 24-hour priority access to two film screenings per day, as well as Red Sea 360, Exhibitor Hall and Talent Days. Film professionals who apply for Red Sea Souk accreditation will have all of the same benefits as festival accreditation, plus Cinando membership, access to market screenings, the Project Market and the Red Sea First work-in-progress screenings.

The Red Sea International Film Festival is committed to providing equal opportunities for participants. The Festival recognises that the prohibitive cost of accreditation can be a barrier to entry for many filmmakers, especially those starting out in the industry, and has therefore made the decision to keep the cost of accreditation low for the Festival, particularly for filmmakers and students. The Festival and Souk provide excellent opportunities for networking and career development, with a wide range of workshops, industry talks and screenings. The Red Sea International Film Festival is a celebration of Arab and African voices in film, as well as an important event in the international film calendar, building connections and fostering an exchange of knowledge to grow the global film industry.
