Red Sea Mall “Back to School” festival Children educationally empowered in modern and fun ways

As part of its efforts to promote children’s educational and scientific abilities and help them start the new school year with enthusiasm, Red Sea Mall (RSM), the main shopping and entertainment destination in Jeddah, concluded “Back to School” festival between 15 and 31 August.

The fun and entertainment activities, organized in the mall’s fountain area and designed to appeal to children’s imagination and colorful dreams, included four sections: scientific experiments, physical activities, manual skills, and discoveries.

A large number of RSM shops supported the festival, offering prizes, gifts, and rewards. Every participating child received a free meal from TGI Fridays, while their mothers received a complimentary massage and facial skincare session from L'occitane.

Al Rayan Gaddouri, Red Sea Mall General Manager commented: “We were pleased to host the “Back to School” event. We believe in empowering children and promoting their skills for competition, discovery, and initiative-taking. The activities were designed to build children’s educational and scientific capacities and develop their physical and mental skills in a fun and entertaining way, helping them look forward to a new school year.”

Omar Al Maghazwi, Red Sea Mall Marketing Officer thanked the shops that participated in the festival and noted that this year’s edition saw more activities and a larger number of shops participating. He said, “Our common goal is to keep our shoppers and visitors entertained and develop children’s mental and physical abilities through modern scientific techniques and educational methods”.

The “Back to School” festival tested children through various games and challenges. The science section quizzed children on chemistry and physics, while the physical activities section featured fun challenges and mental challenges featured math and geometry. The manual skills section offered training workshops and invited children to use their imagination to make soap and candles and to use salt, flour, water, wood, and other material to create beautiful shapes and colors. The discovery section introduced children to the world of plants, insects, and human anatomy, and provided health and medical information on dental care and the discovery of the space through the use of astronomical tools.
