Registration for special MiSK–UNESCO program starts

The Initiatives Center in the Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Foundation (MiSK Foundation), represented by the Fellowship and Training Initiative, has announced the beginning of registration in the MiSK–UNESCO Program for Collaborative Training.

This initiative gives new male and female graduates the opportunity to obtain training in one of the fields of work of the United Nations Education Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO).

On completion of training, the new graduates will have the opportunity to get a job in UNESCO and enhance international cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture under the international organization.

Registration is scheduled to continue until Sept. 22, 2019, corresponding to Muharram 23, 1441H.

The announcement on the program for registration, for the second batch, comes after the success of the first batch. The first batch saw the participation of 10 Saudi young men and women last year leading to and extension of the training program in UNESCO for nine of them for another year.

UNESCO is a specialist United Nations organization, whose main goal is to establish peace and security by raising the level of cooperation between countries in the fields of education and culture. It has 50 offices and several training institutes worldwide.

MiSK–UNESCO Program for Collaborative Training targets Saudi male and female recent bachelor’s degree graduates, in the age range 20–30 years, in several specializations — like education, culture; physical, human or social sciences; communications, or any other field related to the administration of international organizations.

The program is held for a whole year at one of the UNESCO headquarters in France, Italy, China, Egypt and Jordan. The program provides Saudi young men and women with a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the programs of the organization and play a role in disseminating the culture of global security and peace by qualifying for a job opportunity in UNESCO offices.

There are 10 tracks in the training program, most prominent of which are foreign relations and general information, scientific policies and partnerships; developing and carrying out communication strategy, and call for and mobilizing resources; strategic plan for education, and comprehensive access.

The participants are provided a monthly salary throughout the period of the program whose duration is 12 months, health insurance, and continuous follow up and guidance by the program’s supervisory staff.

Those interested can get acquainted with the conditions for joining the program, the training lanes, and how to fill and submit their applications by visiting the website of MiSK Foundation (misk.org.sa).
