The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) said the Jordanian remittances into the country has risen 5 percent on a monthly basis while increasing 2.3 percent at the end of June 2019.
The CBJ said in a statement published Monday that the preliminary figures suggest that the Jordanian expats' remittances to stood at USD330 million, marking an increase of 5 percent compared with USD314 million in the same period in 2018.
The over all working Jordanian expats' remittances increased reaching USD1.5 billion between January-May 2019 up by 2.3 percent, compared with merely 1.465 billion in the same period in 2018.
