Riyadh’s first Disaster Management Conference (MGDM KSA) kicks off next week in Riyadh

As natural and manmade disasters become more and more unavoidable in the region, the importance of proactive risk management strategies is vital. Saudi Society of Emergency Medicine (SASEM), Saudi Ministry of Health and the Global Center for Mass Gatherings Medicine is thus supporting the inaugural Mass Gatherings and Disaster Management KSA (MGDM) Conference to inspire and encourage leaders to establish long-term sustainable policies to avoid further regional and international tragedies.

When and where will it take place?

15-16 August 2016 at the Movenpick Hotel, Riyadh.

Structure of the event

Day 1 starts at 8am and finishes at 5pm

Day 2 starts at 8am and finishes at 4.30pm

The event will consist of a 2 day conference with day one looking at Mitigation and Prevention in the morning and Preparedness and Planning in the afternoon. Day two will cover both Disaster Response and Disaster Recovery.

All delegates will receive refreshments and lunch on both days. Delegates will also gain 22 CME hours upon completion of the 2 day conference.
