Riyali’s Financial Literacy Program Reaches Jizan

Under its Corporate Social Responsibility umbrella, SEDCO Holding Group’s Riyali Program held a training course for its ambassadors, for the very first time in Jizan - in partnership with Al-Andalus Al-Khadra Center and the Ministry of Education.

The course which involved 20 teachers was held on the 22nd of October at the Ministry of Education’s branch (Addayer – Sabya). Riyali ambassadors will subsequently provide training courses on the Riyali Financial Literacy Program to 1,500 students at various schools in Jizan.

Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Kamal Shaban Abdeulaal, CSR Manager at SEDCO Holding Group, said: “This course is part of Riyali’s Financial Literacy program, crafted to equip ambassadors with the necessary knowledge and sound financial skills to train our youth at schools. This will also help them to overcome challenges that they might face in their lives.”

Dr. Kamal added: “The program witnessed rapid expansion since its inception and this is mainly due to the sounding success the courses received in other cities across the Kingdom. We are confident that the program ambassadors will have a major role to play in raising financial awareness amongst our youth.”

Riyali training programs are designed to equip ambassadors and volunteers with skills to train university and high school students through courses which include topics on: budgeting and personal planning, saving, investing and lending. These are integrated within the curriculum as lectures and interactive programs, set specifically to meet the social and cultural needs of the Kingdom. The Riyali program for financial awareness aims to spread the concept of financial awareness and prepare individuals with proper financial skills to assist them in achieving the level of desired financial status.
