As the sports and fitness industry in Saudi Arabia continues to gain strength, RX, a renowned organiser of global events and exhibitions, is set to launch a premier event for health and fitness to the Kingdom: FIBO Saudi – For a strong and healthy society.
FIBO Saudi will be held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center from 1-3 October 2025.
In 2023, the Ministry of Investment announced a total value of more than US$7.1 billion for Saudi Arabia’s sports sector, a significant increase from US$6.3 billion in 2022. This growth can be largely attributed to government-led initiatives such as Vision 2030, which have fuelled rapid expansion in the country’s sports and fitness sectors.
Furthermore, the growing prevalence of health issues and rising health consciousness among the Saudi population are driving increased demand for gyms and fitness clubs, which has presented opportunities for several international brands to enter the Saudi market.
“The launch of FIBO Saudi will help further bolster and expand the burgeoning health and wellness sector in Saudi Arabia, offering opportunities for industry professionals and enthusiasts to network, showcase innovations, and drive advancements in health and wellness,” said Vasyl Zhygalo, Managing Director for RX Middle East.
Zhygalo added: “FIBO Saudi will offer a platform for regional and international players in the fitness industry to connect with potential clients, partners, and distributors in the Kingdom, as well as attract consumers and sports enthusiasts alike. The FIBO brand enjoys a high reputation in the fitness industry worldwide. With FIBO Saudi, we are delighted to carry the spirit of the brand and a healthy lifestyle into one of the fastest-growing markets in the world and offer excellent new opportunities for the industry with the support of the key industry stakeholders.”
Under Vision 2030, the Saudi government has launched the National Transformation Plan, which aims to enhance health and wellness among its population. The target is to increase the physically active population from 13% to 40% by 2030. Other initiatives, such as the Quality of Life programme, aim to increase public participation in sports and athletic activities and reach regional and global excellence in select professional sports.
FIBO Saudi’s vision is to create a strong fitness industry and a healthy society. Over the course of three days, FIBO Saudi will bring together key players from around the world in the health, fitness, and wellness sectors. It will offer business and networking opportunities, educational sessions, and live, interactive experiences.
