Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) announced today that it has issued the third tender for the year of 2020 to import 655,000 tons of wheat to be supplied during the period of July-August 2020.
Governor of SAGO Eng. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Fares stated that the amount specified in the tender is distributed to 11 ships; 6 ships for Jeddah Islamic Port, 4 ships for King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and one ship for Jizan Port.
The Governor also said that this tender comes as an extension to the efforts of meeting the local demand and maintaining the strategic reserve of wheat, adding that the organization has imported 775,000 tons since the beginning of this year.
