SalamAir launches third route to Saudi Arabia, adds Dammam

Strengthening its connectivity in the region, Sultanate’s fastest-growing value-for-money airline, SalamAir, has launched direct flights to Dammam, capital of the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dammam is the third city in Saudi Arabia SalamAir flies to with the airline already flying to Riyadh and Jeddah in addition to Madinah seasonal flights.

Dammam is a major administrative centre for Saudi Arabia’s oil industry. Together with the nearby cities of Dhahran and Al Khobar, Dammam is also a major hub for shipping, commerce and industry. It is also well known for the host of recreational facilities it offers residents and visitors alike.

The Dammam route is the airline’s 11th destination in the GCC, and SalamAir will be the first low cost carrier to operate direct flights between Muscat and Dammam.

The new route which will commence on November 19, 2019 will have three return-trips weekly between Muscat and Dammam. Bookings for flights to these destinations are now open at a special promotional fare starting from OMR 39.

We are happy to connect Muscat to this commerce, trade and recreational hub, contributing to the growth of trade and tourism through improved mobility. The launch of this new route will provide increased convenience to customers from both sides. The connectivity reflects the strong ties between Oman and Saudi Arabia in a number of areas including business and tourism.”
