Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha said the global digital economy is expanding at a rate of 2-3%, while growing by 10% in Saudi Arabia since the launch of Vision 2030, placing the Kingdom among the world’s 10 fastest countries in terms of speed and scale of achievements.
Speaking during a government press briefing, the Minister indicated that Saudi Arabia is witnessing a great technological progress, noting that the Saudi tech and digital markets have grown exceptionally.
The Kingdom achieved six multi-billion digital companies over three years, while the volume of tech venture investment rose to $1.4 billion, Alswaha added.
He also stated that Saudi Arabia has become a point of attraction for international talents, noting that entrepreneurs and the young population are elemnts of success, with the number of jobs growing from 200,000 to nearly 354,000.
