Saudi Arabia on Saturday announced the removal of Information Minister Adel Al-Toraifi. In a series of Royal Decrees announced on State TV, Al-Toraifi was replaced by former ambassador to Germany, Dr. Awwad bin Al-Awwad.
Among other appointments, Prince Khalid bin Salman has been named as Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador to the US replacing Prince Abdullah bin Faisal bin Turki.
In another major decision, Minister of Information and Culture Adel Al-Toraifi was replaced by Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman was named state minister for energy affairs. Minister of Telecommunications and IT Mohammed Al-Suwaiyel has been replaced by Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha.
Civil Service Minster Khaled Al-Arj has been removed from his position.

Northern Border Region Gov. Mishal bin Abdullah was removed and in his placed Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan was appointed.
