Saudi Arabia is in talks with a major traditional car manufacturer, Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper quoted Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, as saying.
Several car makers will enter the Saudi market, and the outcomes of these talks are expected to be announced soon, he added.
Alkhorayef added that the opening of Lucid’s factory is an important step within the Kingdom’s industrial strategy and the car sector.
Saudi Arabia has a prime geographical location, which drives investments and exports, the minister added, pointing to King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), stressing the Kingdom’s ability to enable investor access to target markets in a healthy and fast manner.
