The Riyadh Municipality launched Phase I of the Riyadh Parking Project that is aimed at enhancing the quality of life in the Saudi capital through organizing public parking spaces and developing smart and innovative solutions to reduce incorrect and random parking practices.
The initiative also aims to improve traffic flow and make it easier to find parking spaces.
Phase I of the project is to create and manage over 24,000 public parking spaces in public and commercial streets, in addition to the management of more than 140,000 parking spaces in nearby residential neighborhoods.
The phase will cover 12 areas distributed across the Al-Wurud, Ar Rahmaniyyah, West Olaya, Al-Murooj, King Fahd, and Al-Sulaimaniyah districts, in addition to four other areas in the southern neighborhoods of Riyadh.
The launch of the first phase is part of a partnership agreement between Remat Al-Riyadh Development Co., the developmental arm of the Riyadh Municipality and the strategic enabler for the private sector, and solutions by stc.
