Saudi Arabia sees 2.4 mln freelance contracts issued in H1 2023

Saudi Arabia witnessed the issuance of 2.36 million self-employment contracts, 377,800 flexible work contracts, and 115,000 remote employees during the first half of 2023, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing statistics on modern work patterns in the Kingdom.

The number of companies hiring for remote work reached 7,800, while those offering flexible work amounted to 7,600, with more than 1.67 million freelancers. The number of professions approved under self-employment contracts reached 281, with 47 approved service providers. Furthermore, over 15 e-services were launched for modern work pattern platforms.
