Saudi Drift Championship concluded its season for 2017 with the conclusion of the 5th round, which kicked off recently in Dhahran alongside the Modified Cars Festival that was held under the patronage of HRH Prince Saudi bin Naïf, Emir of the Eastern province.
"Saudi Drift Championship" is one of various motorsport championships in Saudi Arabia regulated and supervised by the Saudi Arabia Motor Federation. It consists of five rounds, involving a large number of car racing teams and professional car racers in Saudi Arabia and the neighboring countries. The Championship constitutes a great opportunity for car racers to demonstrate their high driving skills, as well as the participating cars strong performance, maneuverability and endurance under very difficult driving conditions.
The 5th and final round of the Saudi Drift Championship 2017 season witnessed the participation of 30 cars of different brands and models, including Chevrolet "Camaro LTZ", the famous sports car, which was driven by the veteran Saudi racer and the "King of Camaro", Falah Al Jarba, the captain of Aljomaih Racing Team, which is sponsored and supervised by Aljomaih Automotive Company, the largest dealer for General Motors in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Aljomaih Racing Team came third in the overall standing of the 5th round.
The 5th round of the Saudi Drift Championship also witnessed wide participation professional racers both locally and regionally, including the Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates, as well as a large number of audience and motorsport enthusiasts.
