The Saudi Sports for All Federation announced that it opened registration for the "Move with Us" initiative, which aims to promote the practice of walking, running, and cycling sports and build a healthy, active, sustainable society.
The initiative will kick off on 29 October in the Holy city of Makkah. The SFA aims to attract all members of society to the event, especially those who do not engage in physical activities, to participate in these sports programs.
This initiative is one of SFA's qualitative initiatives targeting citizens and residents of all age groups and different regions of the Kingdom. The event forms part of the sports activities the SFA intends to organize in the coming months.
Participants in the event, including youth and adults, can walk and run for distances ranging from 1 to 5 KM and cycle for 12 KM (males and females). Meanwhile, kids will also be able to participate in the event by walking or running for 1 KM. The event will also cater to people with special needs participating in the race.
Winners will be honored with medals, cash prizes, and giveaways worth 500,000 SAR. The event will be held in different regions across the Kingdom, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Abha, Jizan, Yanbu, Tabuk, Arar, Al Jawf, Al Bahah, Unaizah, and Najran.
This initiative is one of the sports activities launched by the SFA to enhance community participation in sports activities, which contributes to achieving one of the most important objectives of the Federation – building a healthy and sustainable society.
The Federation invites all those wishing to participate to register for the event through the SFA App.
Through this event, the SFA seeks to enhance the participation of women in different sports events, in addition to increasing the percentage of people with special needs participating in sports and physical activities. This initiative aligns with the "Quality of Life" program, one of the key programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, as the SFA aims to promote and raise community participation in sports and physical activities.
