Riyadh- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz met at Riyadh’s Al-Yamamah palace on Wednesday with British Prime Minister Theresa May and they held official talks, discussing bilateral relations, cooperation fields and the regional and international developments.
Furthermore, King Salman awarded the Prime Minister the Order of King Abdulaziz.
According to Downing Street spokesperson, May and King Salman held talks on a wide range of subjects, including security, economy and bolstering Saudi-UK ties.
The spokesperson said that security relationships between the two countries had saved many lives in the UK.
The meeting was attended by Prince Bandar bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Saudi ambassador to UK; Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense; Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Dr. Majid Al-Gasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment, who is also the official guide of the British delegation; Dr. Adel Altoraifi, Minister of Culture and Information; Adel Al-Jubeir, Foreign Minister and Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance.
For the British delegation’s part, the meeting was attended by British ambassador to Saudi Arabia Simon Collis and a number of senior officials.
