SCAT Airlines, one of the largest air carriers transporting Kazakhstan passengers to the neighboring countries and beyond for 22 successful years, started operating flights on the routes Almaty-Jeddah (on Wednesdays) and Almaty-Medina (on Saturdays) on Boeing-757 aircraft. The flight, taking approximately 5 hours travel time, will leave every Saturday and Wednesday from the Kazakh capital.
The launching of new direct flights to one of the popular destinations from Kazakhstan will expand the relations between the two countries. The new route will allow individuals of religious and business communities, in addition to tourist groups to arrange for trips with the most convenient schedule, saving time as well.
“I want to congratulate all of you on the launch of SCAT's direct flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which contribute to the intensive growth of all areas of bilateral relations between KSA and Kazakhstan,” said Khamzin Daulet, the Director of Ground Handling of JSC SCAT Airlines.
He added: “The introduction of the new routes to Jeddah and Madinah demonstrates our commitment to the Saudi market, and increases the demand on this important country. This has been boosted up by the warm relation enjoyed by Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia, and by the new easing of entry-visa system for tourists seeking to visit KSA. We are glad to connect Kazakh to such an important hub, contributing to the growth of religious and leisure tourism via an enhanced mobility”.
It is worth mentioning that KSA represents an essential market on the SCAT's global network, and such an extra flight launch delivers yet more attractive timings to both religious and leisure travelers targeting Jeddah and Madinah, as well as offering more options for travelers connecting through KSA on board SCAT's worldwide network.
