The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), organisers of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF 2018) has announced opening the doors of the festival, from 4pm-8pm today (Monday, April 23) exclusively for women, and children under the age of 16.
The organisers will be offering women and children a special space within which to enjoy books, culture and the myriad literary and entertainment activities that are being offered at the 10thedition of SCRF, and encourage them to bond with each other and mix with their peers over their fondness for books, art, music, food and culture.
The festival will be welcoming everyone from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm tomorrow, after which the gates will close and change over dawn on its exclusive avatar for women and children for the rest of the day.
From Tuesday onwards, that is April 24 and until the end of the festival on Saturday, April 28, the reading festival will resume its regular hours for all visitors who wish to come and spend time surrounded by books, reading, cultural events, theatre shows, cookery competitions, and lots more!
