The Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) launched the Saudi Private Network for Government Integration (SPINE), one of its key initiatives aimed at connecting over 300 government entities for data and service exchange.
The initiative is designed to standardize connectivity mechanisms, cut financial costs, and facilitate rapid and secure data sharing among agencies, while also enabling requirements for artificial intelligence (AI), smart cities, and IoT services, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The SPINE also seeks to build an extensive integration network that supports both international and local virtual connections with the National Information Center. This aims to cover all regions in Saudi Arabia with high-speed connections to benefit both government and non-government entities.
The network also seeks to enhance operational resilience through applying AI algorithms for real-time performance monitoring and service consumption tracking.
