In presence of the CEO of SEDCO Holding Group, Anees Ahmed Moumina, the SEDCO Football Tournament was kicked off for the employees of the group. The opening ceremony was attended by a big number of media and professional football players from the Saudi league including Khaled Kahwaji, Marwan Basas, Jabarti AlShamrani, Saleh AlSagri, Abeed AlDossari, and Marzouq AlOtaibi.

Anees Moumina, CEO of SEDCO Holding Group, said: “We are proud to stand out amongst the leading initiators who drive the spirit of competitiveness and the moral values within the Group’s employees. The SEDCO Football Tournament falls under the umbrella of Corporate Social Responsibility which we abide by, to strengthen and activate communication among the employees from different companies of the group. We are keen on improving our team members’ well-being since it has a direct effect on the productivity and effectiveness of their performance at work, not to mention spreading the ethical culture around the fundamental need for sports, being healthy while stressing the importance of a team spirit for an even healthier working environment. “

He also added: “We are glad to mark the 28th year since the SEDCO Football Tournament’s first launch as this is considered to be among many successful initiatives aiming to regroup more than 20 sister companies from different sectors with one passionate goal and corporate values in common.”

During the opening of the SEDCO Football Tournament, a friendly game joined a group of media, professional players and SEDCO Holding’s team players, to kick start the month-long tournament, who were rewarded with symbolic thank you gestures for their participation. The SEDCO Football Tournament brings excitement as 390 players of the Group’s sister companies will compete and enjoy an entertaining atmosphere reflecting the same spirit of unity since the first launch of the tournament in 1987.
As part of its commitment to its community, SEDCO has included the services of young Saudi talents to handle the organization, videography, and photography of the event, all in line with their ‘Our Community’ platform under their CSR umbrella.
