The 10 Sharjah Ladies Club Branches (SLC Branches) across the emirate are ensuring that children are kept gainfully occupied over the next couple of months with the opening of their annual summer camps. Featuring an array of entertainment and educational activities, their summer programme has been specially formulated to develop young people’s skills and talents, ensuring that they are given every opportunity to both learn and have fun during the long summer vacation.
Targeting girls aged 6-12 years and boys aged 6-9 years, the SLC Branches are offering entertainment and education, with the programmes being run at its facilities that include the Ibdaa Talent Centre, Fitness 180, Marasi Restaurant and Tala Nursery. The various sites are hosting a series of educational, sporting and art sessions, allowing parents to select the activities they prefer for their little ones.
The SLC Branches summer camp programme includes workshops that cover cooking, craft work, tailoring and sand drawing, with puppet theatre, Zumba, hip-hop dance and water-themed games also on offer. Catering for spiritual needs, the activities being provided include religious classes and Holy Quran memorisation sessions that are taking place at Al Hamriya, Al Bataeh, Al Dhaid, Al Madam, Al Thamid, Mleiha, Wadi Al Helo, Kalba, Khorfakkan and Dibba Al Husn.
“Each summer we host a series of activities as part of a summer programme across all of SLC’s branches, with the schedule specifically tailored to develop children’s skills and knowledge. We formulate these activities to meet the variety of needs of our children, with our aim being to offer them a unique experience amid a pleasant summer ambience,” said Asmaa Al Hamsha, Head of Corporate Communication at SLC Branches.
