Special attention at ATOMEXPO 2015 Forum will be paid to issues of the safe use of nuclear technologies
Extensive business program with participation of heads of corporations, top managers of international companies, international-level experts will be presented by hosts of the ATOMEXPO 2015, VII International Forum, which is to be held from 1st to 3rd of June 2015 in Moscow, Gostiny Dvor.
The centerpiece of ATOMEXPO 2015 Forum will be Plenary Meeting on the following topic: “Nuclear power engineering is the impulse to the social and economic development”. Guests from many countries, participants of the congress, will discuss the advantages of nuclear power engineering, its influence on social and economic development of the country and potential challenges of its abandonment.
Business part of the Forum also envisages round tables with the following topical areas of focus: “Role of NFC (nuclear fuel cycle) at the current stage of nuclear power industry development”, “Global nuclear engineering. Opportunities for global and local partnerships”, “Power engineering industry, cooperation in the global market”, “Comprehensive solution for staff training and development of nuclear infrastructure for the national nuclear programs”, “Operation and maintenance of NPP – contemporary approach”, “New products of atomic industry: promising development trends and projects. Funding of SC Rosatom projects, definitive framework and requirements”.
Special attention will be given to issues of the safe use of nuclear technologies, handling of radioactive wastes (RAW) and spent nuclear fuel (SNF). The participants of round table “Economic efficiency, new technologies for nuclear- and radiation-hazardous facilities decommissioning and for RAW handling as an efficient safety strategy” will discuss the Russian and foreign experience in dealing with spent nuclear fuel. They will share knowledge in the field of safe isolation of radioactive wastes, RAW industrial processing and conditioning technologies and technologies of decommissioning of the nuclear industry’s facilities. In addition, the speakers will bring up the topics of relevancy of the Russian experience in generation of regulatory model for RAW burial for the countries which are planning to develop nuclear power.
