SPLASH & SWIM AT KHALIDIYA PALACE RAYHAAN BY ROTANA
It was an exciting day for all parents and children on the 15th of May 2015 as Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana was pleased to host its spring swimming competition by the sea waters of the Arabian Gulf. Children aged between 5 and 13 had the chance to compete and showcase their swimming strokes and skills that they perfectly tailored over months of hard practice through the guidance of motivational instructors. The competition featured three strokes – freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly. Kids swam 30 or 60 metres in each race, or the additional 120m butterfly and 300m freestyle. “I’m always trying to raise the self-esteem and confidence for the kids and put them in the pressure of competition,” Anas Karkutli said, the swimming coach at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana. This swimming competition welcomed approximately 80 kids in the competition who were eager to compete between each other to win gold, silver and bronze medals. They went through several months of training with the head swimming coach, Anas Karkutli, who was very proud of their super performance during the exciting day. “Our aim is to create strong competitive teams that love this beautiful sport just as much as we do. We try to ensure high quality professional training that focuses on technique instruction for all ages and abilities” said Mr. Mark, General Manager at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana. “Our main goal is to provide every participant an opportunity to improve their swimming technique and of course to make this day fun-filled and exciting. We were very happy to invite all parents and kids in order to spend quality time together where learning is also guaranteed.”
Parents and kids tested their skills against the best in the region and made new friends while splashing around in the pool and enjoying cool & exotic refreshments at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana.
