Bridgestone Middle East and Africa in partnership with their local distributors has announced the launch of its latest tyre - the ECOPIA EP150. It has been developed to better suit the needs of the consumer while maintaining Bridgestone’s world renowned safety standards.
Mr. Mete Ekin, Regional Managing Director, Bridgestone Middle East and Africa FZE said, “At Bridgestone, we make safety a business value and put it first through all stages of the tyre lifecycle, from creation to purchase and use.”
A survey conducted by Bridgestone revealed that ‘safety’ and ‘wear life’ place high on the consumer’s performance requirements in the region. Through technology and innovation along with its passionate commitment to serve society with superior quality, Bridgestone is able to provide advanced products to match these needs of consumers.
“In tyre design and development, we define three core elements as safety, comfort, and being environmentally friendly. Based on this, the ECOPIA range of tyres utilizes unique compounds and cutting-edge technology in tread design that reduces rolling resistance which in turn lowers fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The ECOPIA EP150 has a 23.2% better rolling resistance coefficient compared to its predecessor thus delivering greater fuel efficiency while balancing superior wear life and improved braking performance” added Mr. Ekin.
The ECOPIA EP150 series which is also fitted as original equipment on many of the world’s leading automobiles will now be available in the replacement tyre segment due to increased demand. Specially designed for small to mid-size passenger cars, the tyres will be available in 21 sizes, ranging from 13" to 16" rim diameters and will be sold at all authorised Bridgestone outlets.
The launch of ECOPIA EP150 is closely aligned with “Hands Campaign” - Bridgestone’s corporate social responsibility initiative – which highlights the importance of quality tyres by educating motorists in the MEA region on tyre and road safety.
