Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, extended thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, for the Cabinet's approval of the communications and information technology strategy, affirming that this approval reflects unlimited support provided by the leadership for the sectors of communications and information technology.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Eng. Al-Swaha said that the five-year strategy aims to develop the Kingdom's digital capabilities in the field of communications and information technology in order to achieve the Kingdom Vision 2030 and serve singles and communities.
He added that the strategy includes three main sectors, including establishment of a digital infrastructure to support giant projects, acceleration of digital transformation in the sectors, and development of the capabilities of the sectors of communications and information technology by increasing localization and upgrading women's participation, as well as stimulation of innovation and investment in the technology sector and enlarging the local content.
