Tech culture pioneer takes over Virgin Mobile social channels
Saudi Arabia’s tech aficionados and budding tech entrepreneurs have been given the chance to put their questions to one of the Kingdom’s most inspirational tech experts. Virgin Mobile Gadgeteer and member of the Virgin Mobile Creative Collective, Faisal Alsaif, took over Virgin Mobile’s social media channels in order to offer help and inspiration on all things tech. Young Saudi Arabians were given the chance to quiz Faisal on everything from the best new phone to buy to how to drive the popularity of an app.
Faisal said: “Everyone loves technology and gadgets. My role as Gadgeteer is to share my tech passion with others and maybe even inspire some people to join the tech industry. I hope my Virgin Mobile social takeover helped to do that.
“The quality of the questions was fantastic and showed just how tech-savvy young people are.” Faisal Alsaif is one of five young people who won web polls to join the Virgin Mobile Creative Collective last year. The team also includes an Urbanist, a Foodie, a Filmmaker and a Photographer. It was set up by Virgin Mobile to showcase and inspire the creativity of Saudi Arabian youth and to celebrate Saudi Arabian youth culture. The Creative Collective members have been working closely with Virgin Mobile in their role as trend spotters and champions in their respective fields, inspiring young people in their creative interests.
Karim Benkirane, Chief Executive Officer at Virgin Mobile, said: “The Creative Collective are youth culture pioneers, inspiring creativity amongst young people. The Gadgeteer’s social takeover was a great way of doing this. Look out for our other Creative Collective members on our social media channels soon.”
