Lulu Hypermarket has kicked off the ‘Thailand Halal Food Show 2015’ at all its outlets in Riyadh.
The ‘Thailand Halal Food Show’ will run till Sept. 30.
The Halal Food Show is another initiative by Lulu to bring together all the diverse tastes and flavours of Thailand. The events aim at promoting a range of products from Thailand.
The food show was formally inaugurated at Lulu’s Murabba, Riyadh, outlet by Timothy A. Lenderking, deputy chief of mission, US Embassy, Lawrence Anderson, ambassador of Singapore and Dhanatpongse Smitabhindu, minister counsellor of Royal Thai Embassy, in the presence of LuLu management.
Hemant Kotalwar, deputy chief of mission, Indian embassy, and Alauddin Mohd Nor, deputy head of mission, embassy of Malaysia, were also present.
The ‘Thailand Halal Food Show’ offers customers a chance to indulge in a gastronomic tour to some of the truly exotic places in the world and to explore the original and authentic halal products of Thailand.
The show showcases some of the best quality and specially imported fresh and canned food products from Thailand.
The hypermarket has stocked up its shelves with a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and leaves, rice, fruit drinks, coconut products, canned foods, cooking sauces, melamine tableware, plastic and steel kitchenware, footwear and garments showcased during the five days promotion.
Special in-store counters have been put up throughout the promotion, offering customers an opportunity to sample the variety of food products on display.
The festival is also a culinary expedition for customers to experience the magic and aroma of Oriental cuisine.
The special delicacies combine a variety of Oriental tastes that extends the traditional Chinese and Thai food.
Speaking on the Thailand Halal Food Show, Abdul Saleem, regional manager said: “We are glad to launch this Halal Show to promote the best Halal products from Thailand to our customers in Saudi Arabia. Through this festival, we aim to bring all the Oriental products for our customers under one roof.”
