During the Riyadh Economic Forum events, which was launched under the gracious patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him, the Prince of Riyadh, HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah preserve him, honoured the Advanced Electronics Company as the platinum sponsor of the forum, recognizing its pioneering efforts in accelerating the Kingdom's economic growth and attracting and qualifying the Saudi talents, in line with the objectives of the Vision 2030.
AEC's participation in the 3-day significant forum held at Hilton Hotel in Riyadh is a real indication of the immense roles deployed by the private sector companies in Saudi Arabia to help support the Kingdom's march towards achieving the sustainable economic development goals. The participation also demonstrates the AEC's unwavering endeavours in the sector of transformational industries as a key player in realizing the goals of the Vision 2030, contributing in the integrated national system to support the local content, improving the GDP, as well as empowering Saudi youth by providing them with job opportunities so they may contribute to the best of their abilities in a way that moves in line with the Vision 2030 and with the aspirations of the Kingdom's leadership. All of these efforts are geared towards diversifying the national economy by providing valuable oil-exporting alternatives to help the Kingdom stay competitive.
On the other hand, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, CEO of Advanced Electronics Co., expressed his pride and happiness on such a millstone recognition which affirmed the Kingdom's appreciation of the AEC’s untiring efforts to provide highly developed services and solutions that contribute to achieving the Kingdom's ambitious goals. This includes localization of 50% of the military and security spending, generating new job opportunities in compliance with the 2030 vision, and promoting the industry sector as a qualitative catalyst to further enhance the Kingdom economic stability, regionally and globally.
Al-Duailej looks at the AEC participation as unique opportunity for specialists and stakeholders to learn more about the role attained by AEC to achieve the sustainable development and move the economy ahead, in addition to supporting the localization policy and recruiting and training the Saudi nationals, in line with the aspirations of the vision. He pointed out that AEC is keen to assign the leadership positions to qualified and trained Saudis who have proven successful outcomes in the implementation and supervision of major vital projects executed by AEC, which in turn proved the company's adept capabilities and excellence showcased within an effective economic and security system entrusted by the Kingdom to push ahead the country's development and help achieve the current and future plans.
Founded in 1988, The AEC focuses its activities in 4 major sectors including defence and space, communications and IT, and energy and security. The company is currently run by more than 2,100 highly skilled multinational staffs, of whom more than 80% are Saudis, and among whom are more than 300 trained, qualified and certified Saudi engineers who work in the company's various departments.
