Samaco Automotive Company, the exclusive dealer for Audi cars in Saudi Arabia, announced the arrival of the Audi Q3 to its showroom in Saudi Arabia .
The new Audi Q3 is more striking, roomier and more versatile. At the same time it offers technical refinements from the full-size segment and a further developed suspension for enhanced driving dynamics with even more comfort.
Versatile and spacious: the space concept
The new Audi Q3 looks much sportier than its predecessor – with the striking Single-frame in octagonal design, large air inlets and strong muscles over the wheel arches. Compared with the first generation, the compact SUV has grown in virtually all dimensions. It is 4,484 millimeters long, 1,849 millimeters wide and 1,585 millimeters high. Its wheelbase, which has been stretched by 77 millimeters, offers lots of space. At the same time the Q3 is extremely versatile – thanks to the rear seats, which can be adjusted fore/aft and for tilt, height-adjustable loading floor along with numerous storage compartments. Depending on the position of the rear seats and backrests, the luggage compartment capacity is between 530 and 1,525 liters.
Digital and sporty: the interior
In typical SUV fashion, the Audi Q3 combines easy access and good all-round visibility with a sporty seating position. The steering wheel is steeply angled accordingly. The seats – electrically adjustable as an option – offer comfort from the next larger vehicle category. The highlights include the new operating and display concept: even the basic version of the Audi Q3 comes with a digital instrument cluster with smartphone interface allowing Apple Car Play and Android Auto. In conjunction with MMI navigation plus, the driver controls the extensive infotainment via the 10.1-inch touchscreen display in the center console. Together with the air conditioning controls, it is tilted ergonomically toward the driver. Operation is intuitive and easy to follow thanks to the flat menu structure. Alternatively the driver can issue commands using voice control.
Navigation, Infotainment and Assist Systems
With the new Q3, the customer can, for instance, transfer navigation routes and the smartphone calendar to the MMI and locate where their car is parked.
As with the brand’s full-size models, the Audi Q3 also offers a range of innovative assist systems. Audi pre sense basic and Audi pre sense front safety systems, the Audi side assist lane change warning system and the Audi active lane assist are all fitted ex works to the new Q3. For further ease of use, a Comfort Key is offered as standard as well as the acoustic Parking aid for front and rear (Parking Aid Plus).
Market launch: engine/transmission variants
The new Audi Q3 enters the Middle East market with an entry-level 1.4 TFSI engine with 110 kW (150 hp) and 250 Nm (184.4 lb-ft) of torque. It features the cylinder on demand system, which switches off the second and third cylinder temporarily at low and medium loads, thus helping reduce fuel consumption in combination with the seven-speed S-tronic transmission.
Colour and Trim: Stylish, sporty and fun
The new Audi Q3 is manufactured at the Győr plant in Hungary. Sporty pulse orange and elegant chronos gray are new colours available as paint finishes.
Three stylish trim line variants are available to give Middle East customers even more opportunity to personalise their preference. The entry version comes with 17 inch alloy wheels and a high gloss package. The advanced version gives the customer 18” alloy wheels as standard, specific bumpers and contrast painting (full body paint available as an option) and an interior featuring a sporty aluminium trim. The S-line version has even more choice with sporty 18” alloy wheels, S line bumpers and full body paint (contrast painting available as an option) as well as the sporty aluminium trim interior.
Safety and Protection
The new Audi Q3 offers bumper-to-bumper safety: The compact family SUV earned the top score of five stars in the Euro NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme), one of the most important automobile safety tests in Europe.
To get the highest rating of five stars, a car has to score in all key Euro NCAP criteria. The new Audi Q3 succeeded in doing so with flying colors – in the category adult occupant protection as well as for child safety, vulnerable road user protection and driver assistance systems. The actively supporting safety systems – which include automatic emergency braking for city traffic and for highways – are included in the overall NCAP assessment with a 40% weighting for adult occupant, 20% weighting for vulnerable road users and 20% weighting for safety assist.
