VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show, the Middle East’s only B2B and B2C jewellery industry mega event, has strengthened its commercial proposition for more than 500 local, regional and international exhibitors by partnering with DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre), the world’s most interconnected Free Zone and the leading trade and enterprise hub for commodities.
The partnership will enhance VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show’s platform as a conduit for increased jewellery trading - specifically gold, precious metals and gems - out of Dubai. As part of the agreement, DMCC support the wider industry by encouraging innovation, technology development and the implementation of value-added services across the emirate’s jewellery trading ecosystem.
One of five strategic partnerships earmarked by VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show - which runs November 15 – 18 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) - to enhance the show’s regional and international networking capacity, the DMCC alliance will facilitate trading potential among manufacturers, retailers, distributors and end buyers to further underline Dubai’s position at the fulcrum of the global jewellery industry.
“I would describe Dubai as the jewellery capital of the world right now, yet the global industry is changing due to disruptive technologies, new customer demands and an increase in costs that mean traders and jewellery retailers must adapt,” said DMCC’s Innovation Hub Director Franco Bosoni. “VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show will provide a great opportunity for our business customers and retailers to sample and gauge emerging trends, and develop innovative solutions to ensure future growth. It’s the perfect environment to promote what both Dubai and DMCC are doing on a global level and, at the same time, help local and international market participants connect.”
Established in 2002, DMCC has grown into the world’s most interconnected Free Zone and is a leading marketplace for commodities trade and enterprise. Home to 13,700 businesses, DMCC facilitates trade across many varied areas of business including coffee, agriculture, energy, tea and jewellery-related commodities such as gold and diamonds – the focus for VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show.
“We are fostering a number of important strategic partnerships for November’s VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show and this latest collaboration with DMCC, which currently boasts a membership of around 13,700 businesses, will grant us access to even more of the robust jewellery industry’s key players - from manufacturers and retailers to distributors and, of course, end buyers,” said Emanuele Guido, General Manager, DV Global Link, which organises VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show. “As Dubai’s consolidated jewellery international mega event, such partnerships only serve to strengthen our reputation as the world’s leading trading hub for gold, jewellery, gemstones and diamonds.”
Spanning more than 200,000 square feet of indoor exhibition space, VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show is organised by DV Global Link - a joint-venture company between DWTC and Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) – and will see the local, regional and international exhibitors launch brand new product lines, collections and jewellery innovations to a trade and consumer audience.
VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show is open to both retail and trade visitors. The show is open 2pm-10pm from November 15, 16 and 18 2017, and 3pm-10pm on November 17 2017. Entry is free. For more information please visit www.jewelleryshow.com
