The Smart Ship of the Desert: the All-New Chevrolet Tahoe Makes Every Adventure Smart

When we first started exploring the desert, we did so on the back of camels, the old ship of the desert. Now, the all-new Chevrolet Tahoe has arrived to redefine the limits of off-roading with the best-in-class* technology and driving dynamics, while still offering the authentic taste of adventure.

The Chevrolet Tahoe, the Official SUV of Action, has been completely redesigned for 2021, with advancements to its performance, safety, and entertainment. Not to mention the added levels of comfort the driver and passengers experience, all underpinned by innovative technology to make the Tahoe the smart ship of the desert.

Driving dynamics engineered for the dunes

Made specifically for the Middle East with more regional input than ever before, the all-new Chevrolet Tahoe is designed for the desert, packed with technology to enhance your off-road experience. The Chevrolet Tahoe line-up comes with the refined combination of Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, Magnetic Ride Control, and Autotrac which work together to provide Active Response 4WD. Allowing the driver to maneuver off-road conditions easily and confidently by sending optimal torque to each wheel to improve traction, Active Response 4WD is essential for navigating tricky terrain and comes standard on the Z71.

Further performance enhancements include the Rollover Detect Deactivation switch, which prevents the curtain airbags from activating while you’re throwing the vehicle across dunes, often at steep angles. The driver remains protected at all times, by side and front airbags, giving the thrill of adventure underpinned by the reassurance of safety.

The all-new Chevrolet Tahoe is powered by a standard V8 engine, mated to an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission, marrying brawn and brains in this sophisticated and powerful SUV.

Safety features to drive with confidence

The All-New Tahoe fuses technology and passenger security to offer up to 25 available safety and vision features, perfect for the solo adventurer or a family of explorers.

When cruising through the depths of the dune with only the light of the moon, the Tahoe’s IntelliBeam Auto High Beams use advanced technology to automatically turn the vehicle’s high beam headlamps on and off depending on the surrounding traffic conditions. The system operates using a sensor located at the top center of the windshield and activates the high-beam headlamps when there is no other traffic present and the conditions are dark enough. This tech not only helps light your way but protects other off-roaders and road users from being blinded by the Tahoe’s high beams.

With OnStar, you’re never alone on the (off) road

While no one expects to get into an accident, get stuck in the sand or even lose their keys, every adventurer needs a plan B. OnStar3, the pioneering in-vehicle safety, and security-connected tech embedded into the Chevrolet Tahoe, can be there for the unplanned. This life-saving technology connects you to a human at the push of a button, offering the widest range of in-vehicle safety and security services to drivers. OnStar ensures that no matter the terrain or neighborhood the Tahoe is driven through, the driver can be assured of full support.

Command center designed for driver control

The All-New Chevrolet Tahoe’s cockpit ensures the driver is confident and always in control, by placing everything the driver needs right at their fingertips on the class-leading 10.2-inch diagonal Chevrolet Infotainment System. Compatible with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ready, the driver can streamline interaction between their phone and vehicle while keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Presenting the vehicle’s controls in direct view and reach of the driver guarantees the comfort and confidence of any off-roader to tackle the harshest of terrains while maintaining command of the Smart Ship.

The infotainment system is compatible with an Off-Road app which includes inclinometers that display how the car is positioned in its environment and displays how Active Response 4WD is working to keep the adventure moving forward.

Don’t forget the creature comforts

The tech in the all-new Chevrolet Tahoe not only improves performance and safety but adds another layer of entertainment. Passengers in the rear seats will enjoy the best-in-class Rear Seat Entertainment System1 through individual 12.6-inch diagonal LCD touchscreens. Parents can rest their minds knowing that the little ones will be busy in the back as the adults cruise long stretches of uncharted paths.

The Chevrolet Tahoe will also keep you refreshed while out in the desert, with its best-in-class center console fridge1. Outstripping all other offers on the market, the fridge is powered by its own compressor, reaching temperatures of -5o and is big enough to store six 0.5L bottles of water with space leftover for snacks.

Bigger, better and bolder, the Official SUV of Action is power balanced with smart technology that helps its driver stay safe on the road and out in the desert. The all-new Chevrolet Tahoe SUV is now available in showrooms across the Middle East. For more information, please visit Chevrolet Arabia.
