Japanese automotive giant Toyota has continued to top Interbrand’s list of the most valuable automotive brands in 2019 for the third year in a row, with a total value exceeding SR210 billion. Toyota has retained its seventh place in global automotive brand rankings in accordance with the latest criteria following the company’s rapid growth, which increased the value of its brand by five percent compared to last year.
Interbrand follows a specific and precise method in ranking automotive brands in terms of global value, as candidates must meet a list of basic criteria, most importantly: brand revenues outside of the main market must not be less than 30%, and the brand must have a significant presence in Asia, Europe and North America. It must also have wide geographical presence in emerging markets.
