‘Transport projects will improve standards’

The massive transport projects under way in the region would improve the quality of life for citizens, said Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal here recently.

Prince Khaled made the comments at a ceremony where he signed a SR300 million design contract with Foster and Partners for the region’s new public transport network.

He thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the country’s leadership for the political, economic and military projects that are transforming the country.
“These projects would ensure a quantum leap in the quality of community life in the city. It will dramatically change and transform Jeddah,” he said.

Those who attended the event included Jeddah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Majid and Hani Abu Ras, Jeddah mayor.
During the event, Jeddah Metro Company officials explained the timeframe for the project.
Several specialized manufacturing and transport firms took part in the event.
