Ahead of World Heart Day on 29 September, Finablr company UAE Exchange, a leading financial services brand in the UAE, in association with NMC, the largest healthcare provider in the UAE, launched "Second Chance", a Community CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Awareness Programme in the country.
The free programme aims to raise public awareness about the importance of CPR and other life saving measures during emergencies. Through this initiative, NMC Healthcare and UAE Exchange seek to help build a nation of lifesavers, where everyone has the knowledge, skills and also the necessary confidence to respond to emergencies.
Through demonstrations, literature and training videos, the community programme will educate its participants when and how to step in to save a life - be it in the workplace or at home. It will also provide information on how to have a healthy heart and combat cardiovascular diseases.
The "Second Chance" CPR awareness programme will be held across educational institutions, corporate organisations and community and welfare associations in the UAE over the next two months.
