VEOLIA UNVEILS THE SMART WATER BOX AT WETEX

Veolia, the global leader in environmental resources management, today unveiled a new cutting edge digital water solution: The Smart Water Box. It will help cities of the Gulf Countries operate more efficiently the management of their water resources.

The Smart Water Box was revealed at the 17tt Water, Energy, Technology Exhibition (WETEX) being held from the 21-23 of April under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Given the importance authorities and industry are placing to improve efficiency of their services, sustainability and resilience, as well as responsiveness to customers, Veolia has brought new digital water solution to the UAE. The Smart Water Box brings together and analyzes data collected from multiple sources to provide an overview that allows taking rapid coordinated action, enabling insight and control over every facet of water management.

The Smart Water Box provides a complete, real-time overview of services, optimization of water and electricity consumptions, protection of resources, improvement of networks efficiency, emergency situation management, anticipation of failures and risk control, quality of the supply in water and electricity, and increased levels of service.
Xavier Joseph, CEO, Veolia Gulf Countries said: “WETEX in Dubai is the perfect platform to launch our latest smart solution. The Smart Water Box in particular will benefit the UAE and surrounding countries by taking utilities management to the next level with its complete and real-time overview of services. WETEX tackles critical issues in energy conservation, water and electricity, including environmental protection and preservation, green building, carbon reduction. WETEX attracts world leaders, international policy makers, industry leaders, investors, experts, academia, intellectuals and journalists to discuss practical and sustainable solutions to future energy challenges. For the 2013 event, more than 1,360 exhibitors from 32 countries participated, showcasing their latest technologies and equipment.
