Villa, Rihab and Rimal Rotana Hosts a Fun Day for Children from Dubai Autism Center

Villa, Rihab and Rimal Rotana have joined hands by organizing and hosting a fun day full of activities for the children from Dubai Autism Center, only to reconfirm the committed relationship they share towards community and changing it for better. Autism could be explained as a mental condition, present from early childhood, characterized by great difficulty in communicating and forming relationships with other people and in using language and abstract concepts.
The event which was held on 16 April, 2015 at Villa Rotana included a short presentation that was conducted by Ms. Joelle Najm, Family Counselor from Dubai Autism Center. Simultaneously happened the fun activity and party for around 30 children from the center with a superhero theme has provided as an ideal platform to showcase the community involvement from Villa, Rihab and Rimal Rotana. The children from the center were treated to an exciting and fun-filled day which included activities with the children such as games with goodies, face painting, and magic show, followed by a special lunch buffet.
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Kinan AL Ghraoui, General Manager of Villa, Rihab and Rimal Rotana said that, “This event reflects the outstanding efforts of our staff from Villa, Rihab and Rimal Rotana and contributions of community partners to support programs that serve children with autism and to increase autism awareness in our local community.” He also mentioned that, “I’m proud to inform that, we have gone the extra mile to support this cause for a longer span of time, by instilling donation boxes for Dubai Autism Center in the lobby at our properties, and also taken up the task of sponsoring the production of handmade Greeting cards made by children at the center and helping with their sales at each of our property”.
Takeaways with appreciation notes for all the children were handed out by Mr. Kinan Al Ghraoui, General Manager, Villa, Rihab and Rimal Rotana at the end of the event. Mr. Kinan also thanked the sponsors of the event Funky monkey, Sparkys for their constant support and making this event successful. The Dubai Autism Center was founded in 2001 to become the largest, most innovative and comprehensive non-profit organization in the UAE serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorders with a goal to successfully integrate children with Autism into the community.
