Following the enthusiastic response to Elite Automotive Alliance invitation (EAA, one of VW's dealers in Saudi Arabia) to hundreds of individual and family customers, a special driving experience event took place yesterday with the full Volkswagen model line-up, including the top range R-Line models, to Al-Reem International Circuit in Riyadh.

The event program carried the "R" letter label, which is known in several Volkswagen models, bringing the R-line experience to be enjoyed by the invitees for its high sports performance in fast racing events, like the Golf R, along with other R-Line models such as the CC R-Line, Touareg R-Line, Tiguan R-Line and a large selection of other models including the Beetle SEL.

More than two hundred guests took an active part in the event, which, according to Mr. Michael Müller, Executive Director of Porsche and Volkswagen in Saudi Arabia, raises the competitive level in the kingdom. He added that such events are opportunities to increase auto enthusiasts' awareness and knowledge about our cars, in addition to highlighting Volkswagen cars through Elite Automotive Alliance. He adds: “That's what we achieved from the latest of these events is this test drive in Al-Reem international circuit, where our objective is not merely promotional, but educational."

The carefully planned event evolved smoothly with each party fulfilling its part, as described by Mr. Faisal Al-Saif, the Managing Director of Elite Automotive Alliance who said: "From the beginning, the reception staff was ready to welcome the guests and provide all necessary coordination services. Those specialised in the road testing field participated with invitees in off-road testing or in organising the Karting area. The other trainers were always ready to help with the most important instructions about how to drive the vehicles both adequately and safely."

Mr. Al-Saif adds: " We strive at Elite Automotive Alliance to achieve a more global approach with our first event, through offering special activities for the whole family ‎, we focused on specialized‎ coordination in the road testing field ‎which made it possible for invitees to test drive the same car on the race-track twice, or even a variety of cars in several breath taking tests, for the off-road enthusiasts we offered the harshly optimized off-road testing track, and for the rest of the family we offered the go kart competition race-track . On-hand racing trainers were ready to help with tips and instructions on how to drive the vehicles both adequately and safely. The most rewarding aspect for me during the event was the children's reactions of thrill and joy; it made it all worth it. We believe in focusing on the smallest detail such as the rare waiting times.

For Mr. Adel Baraja, Director of Marketing and Public Relations Volkswagen Saudi Arabia, the test drive event conveyed the main underlining idea that Volkswagen cars embody a worldwide exclusivity which attracts the customer and gives him satisfaction, reinforcing the ties with him as well as others. He adds “we hope to continuously organise such events as it contributes to our customer relations.”
