Warning to Apple MacBook users of battery problems

The Jordanian Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has warned its MacBook users of battery problems and possible high temperatures. The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Dr. Ghazi Jabour stressed the keenness of the Authority to protect the interests of the beneficiaries of telecommunications services, both in terms of the quality of services provided to them or the devices used in providing such services. This was in response to what Apple said was a problem with a limited number of older MacBook Pro 15-inch devices on the possibility of unusually high battery temperature, increasing the risk of damage.

Dr. Jabour pointed out that Apple announced the possibility of replacing the damaged batteries for free, calling users of these devices to enter the following link: https://support.apple.com/ar-sa/15-inch-macbook-pro-battery-recall, For details on these devices and how to replace the battery for free in case of proven damage, which is by entering the serial number of the device in the space allocated, noting that these devices were sold between September 2015 and 2017
