Water networks launched in six villages in Samtah - Jazan

The National Water Company (NWC) commenced operation of water networks in six villages in Samtah governorate, Jazan region. The goal is to meet the growing demand on water services and reinforce the water resources system and infrastructure of water and environmental services. The villages included the Southern Haqla, Upper Jayaneya, Lower Jayaneya, Eastern Rawaya, Western Rawaya, and Abu Al-Madh.

 

Eng Bandar N. Jabr, General Manager of Water in Jazan Region, said that laid water networks and pipelines totaled 22 km, with 1,300 domestic connections and a 10,000-cubic-meter tank to serve more than 13,000 people in the region. Additionally, the continuous supply hours increased to 12 hours per day with a daily supply of 2,000 m3. The end goal, added Jabr, is to increase water services coverage and enhance operational efficiency.

 

The General Manager encouraged all beneficiaries in Jazan region with installed meters to use NWC’s official smart phone application to update their information. Additionally, customers who are not yet connected to water services could request a new house connection easily and quickly through the app.
